Firm Partners
Whit L. Brown, Jr., Certified Public Accountant
Whit L. Brown, Jr., shareholder, is an honorary member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). In addition to being a CPA, he is also a Certified Management Accountant, and Certified Employee Benefit Specialist. He has also earned the AICPA Certificate of Educational Achievement in Tax Planning and Advising for Closely Held Businesses. Mr. Brown is a graduate of Davidson College and holds a Master's Degree from the University of North Carolina. He is a member of the Florida Institute of CPA's, and previously served as chairman of the Florida State University Accounting Conference Committee and the Not-for-Profit Organizations Conference Committee. He also performs peer reviews of other CPA firms' accounting and auditing practice on behalf of the FICPA.
Michael D. Thornton, Certified Public Accountant
Michael D. Thornton, shareholder, has 30 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant consulting with small and medium-sized businesses. His practice area includes audit and accounting, taxation, financial planning, and litigation support. He often serves as an expert witness for attorneys on business valuation issues, domestic relations/divorce cases, and all types of commerical lawsuits. Michael is active in the community and his client base includes many not-for-profit clients, contractors, health care professionals, and small businesses representing many economic sectors.
Jan M. Pacenta, Certified Public Accountant
Jan M. Pacenta, shareholder, has 19 years of experience as a Certified Public Accountant. She practices in the areas of audit, taxation, litigation support and providing solutions to small business owners. Jan serves many of the firm’s contractor clients and also utilizes her talents serving our community in numerous civic and charitable organizations.
John R. Dunaway, Certified Public Accountant
John R. Dunaway, officer, has over 25 years experience as a Certified Public Accountant, after graduating with a degree in Accounting from the University of West Florida. As an officer of the firm, John helps direct the tax division. John provides services in the areas of tax preparation, tax planning, retirement planning, wealth building, and estate planning.
Sean K. Quigley, Certified Public Accountant
Sean K. Quigley, officer, has over 20 years experience as a Certified Public Accountant. Sean advises individual and business clients in the areas of tax preparation and planning, retirement planning, and accounting and financial reporting. He also provides audit representation and assists clients in resolving tax compliance issues. Sean received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Connecticut. He is active in many community organizations, and was a member of the Leadership Pensacola class of 2008.
Trevor M. Grosse, officer, has nearly 20 years experience providing Information Technology services to many industries. Since earning a Masters Degree in Business Administration from the University of West Florida, he has been helping small businesses in information systems audit, technology planning/design, infrastructure deployment, disaster recovery, and application development. He is also a member of numerous community organizations, and was a member of the Leadership Pensacola class of 2004.
